Joy Strand, MHA
Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Strand joined The McCready Foundation in 2013 and has led the organization through the rebranding effort resulting in the establishment of McCready Health and a relentless focus on excellent medical care coupled with top-flight customer service. Before joining McCready Health she served as Administrator of Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital (Dowagiac, MI), Chief Operating Officer of Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital (Manistique, MI) and Director of Quality & Risk Management at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital (Newberry, MI). She earned a Masters of Healthcare Administration from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Grand Valley State University. Ms. Strand and her husband reside in Princess Anne, Maryland.


Camesha Giddins, MBA
Chief Financial Officer
After joining McCready Health in 2011 as the accounting supervisor, Ms. Giddins was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2014. During her time at McCready Health, she has been responsible for streamlining processes, selecting and leading the implementation of a new computer system, and helping to bring the McCready Health brand to fruition. Previous to McCready Health, Ms. Giddins was a senior accountant at McKesson Provider Technologies, and accountant at the American International Group and an accountant at Certegy. She holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management from DeVry University and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Hampton University. Camesha Giddins lives in Mappsville, Virginia with her young family.


Debra Hansen,  MSOL, BSN, B-C, ACM
Chief Nursing Officer

Mrs. Hansen joined the McCready team in 2016. She brings over 32 years of clinical, educational, administrative and managerial experience to McCready Health.  She most recently served as the Director of Case Management, Social Services and Behavioral Health Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Horizon Greenville/Shenango.

A native of Pennsylvania, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Duquesne University and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College. She is certified in Leadership from the Beckwith Leadership Program, a board-certified Medical – Surgical Nurse and holds a certification in Case Management. Mrs. Hansen is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the American Center Case Management.


Novella A. Bozman, NHA, ALM
Administrator of the Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center

Ms. Bozman has been the administrator of the Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center since 1987. She successfully guided the facility through new construction while maintaining a 95% occupancy rate in the center. Ms. Bozman began her career at McCready in 1987 as an executive secretary and was promoted to administrator after completing the Nursing Home Administrator’s Licensing Exam. She additionally served as the interim Chief Executive Officer in 2002.  She is a native of Crisfield and resides there with her husband.


Barry Q Brittingham, Jr.
Human Resources Director
Mr. Brittingham joined the McCready team in 2015. Mr. Brittingham is a United States Army veteran having served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany and several locations in the states.  He has spanned the levels of organization dealing with Army personnel since 2000. In 2007, he began a career at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center climbing the ranks from specialist to manager. During his military career, he received numerous honors including the Army Good Conduct Medal, the Army Achievement Medal and other service awards. He is a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Mr. Brittingham returned to the Eastern Shore in 2012, received an Associates of Arts Degree in Business and is continuing his education in human resource management at the University of Maryland University College with an expected graduation date of 2016. He resides in Salisbury with his family.
