McCready Health volunteers perform a variety of valued activities at the hospital, Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and in the McCready community. You must be age 14 or older to join the volunteers.
Our mission: Promoting, protecting and perpetuating the health and well-being of patients and residents.
Our staff will give you the training and support you need. In addition, as a volunteer, you will enjoy interacting and socializing with other volunteers and staff members. You can work on a schedule that suits you – and you don’t need to make a year-long commitment.
McCready Hospital volunteers help at the reception desk, provide clerical support, and work in departments such as medical-surgical and the McCready Outpatient Rehabilitation Center.
Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center volunteers visit with residents, read to them, assist with activities such as crafts and games, and assist with transport in their wheelchairs. Teens are also welcome to volunteer during the summer, school breaks or in the evenings.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call 410-968-1200 and ask for Suzanne Tyler or Margie Morgan. Background checks, health physicals and drug and alcohol tests are required prior to volunteering at McCready at no cost to you.
