LPN – Long Term Care

The LPN assesses nursing needs, performs direct nursing care forthe comfort and well-being of the patient as well as therapeutic intervention, and directs/assists nursing assistants in the performance of nursing care. They are responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. They act as a patient advocate and provide support, information and direct care. They educate patients and families on significant self care issues. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.
This is a full time position.

Qualifications or Certifications Required
Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Maryland or in a Maryland approved compact state.
Current CPR Certification.
Ability to read and communicate effectively.
Required to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Required to work overtime as needed.
Normally scheduled for 12 hour shifts.
May be required to work in any assigned wing of the nursing home or department in the Foundation.
